Loader is a kind of earthwork construction machinery which is widely used in highway, railway, construction, hydropower, port, mine and other construction projects. It is mainly used for shoveling soil, sand, lime, coal and other bulk materials. It can also be used for light shoveling of ore and hard soil. It can also be used for bulldozing, lifting and loading and unloading of other materials such as wood.
In road construction, especially in high-grade highway construction, loaders are used for filling and digging of subgrade engineering, aggregate and loading of asphalt mixture and cement concrete yard. In addition, it can also push soil, scrape the ground and pull other machinery. Because the loader has the advantages of fast operation speed, high efficiency, good mobility, light operation and so on, it has become one of the main types of machine in earthwork construction.
After decades of development, China's loader has made great progress. In particular, the annual production and sales of loaders are more than 160000. In today's Chinese market with numerous international brands, domestic brand loaders still occupy the vast majority of the market. In 1978, the annual output of China's loaders was only 1315, and the cumulative output was only 9454. In 2007, the sales volume exceeded 160000, and the export volume alone exceeded 10000, which was more than the historical cumulative total output before the reform and opening up. Similarly, the annual output of China's bulldozers in 1978 was only 1909, and the cumulative output was 11923. At that time, the import volume was relatively large. By 1980, the cumulative import reached 3333 sets, especially in the late 1980s, the import volume accounted for nearly 30% of the market. In 2007, the sales volume of bulldozers exceeded 7390 units, which not only occupied the vast majority of the domestic market, but also exported a large number of bulldozers. In 2007 alone, the export volume reached 2065 units, exceeding the total output of bulldozers in 1978.
